 The new edition of Toyota RAV4 SUV presented in Los Angeles has a new design, increased capacity and new security systems.

The fourth generation of the Toyota RAV4 makes its international debut at the Auto Show angles with numerous innovations.

To promote the brand crossover for five occupants chose a four-cylinder engine capable of developing 2.5-liter 176 HP and 172 ft.lbs of torque at 4,100 rpm. The new power plant is coupled to a six-speed sequential transmission that replaces the automatic four.

The front-drive model consumes 24 mpg city and 31 highways, while the all-wheel drive 22 mpg city runs and 29 highways. This edition features an Eco mode that helps to increase efficiency.

To improve the user experience, joined the Sport Mode with Dynamic Torque Control AWD, which optimizes suspension response and management.

In terms of design, the 2013 RAV4 has agile lines but not without muscle with which to forge a silhouette gradually progresses. The bumpers large bold are combined with the headlights. One of the biggest news is the change of the tailgate, which went from a side opening to give way to a vertical load space with the seats rear 73.3.cu.ft removed (in-class).

The Limited also found a Green Edge premium sound system with 11 speakers.

In the security section, the Toyota RAV4 leads its segment with 8 airbags as standard and adds traction control, electronic brake distribution, stability control and braking assistant, while the Limited has monitoring system blind spot.
